From old to modern wedding dresses
If you live in America, you may have been invited to uncountable marriage ceremonies. And surely, you must have noticed that grooms and brides are not as young as they used to be some generations ago. Almost all social research on this matter shows a forward shift in age at first marriage. And of course, not all late-life marriages are first marriages. Many people remarry after a divorce or pass away spouse.
The average age of women and men getting married for the first time is now 27 and 29, respectively. This has different reasons, after a certain age we tend to have a higher level of emotional maturity, a wider range of life-experiences, we’re more independent, emotionally resilient and financially stable.
Those who marry for the first time between the ages of 28 and 32 are more likely to have successful marriages and the chances of divorce are lower than for those who do so before the age of 20. People venturing into a second marriage are all-too aware that the story does not end like it does in the romantic pictures. This, along with many other things makes second marriages much different than the first ones, to begin with, no one wants to repeat the ugliness of a divorce. But, choosing a modern wedding dress should be a problem?
